FOSS has several NIR platforms to choose from.
Specialty parameters such as Amino Acids require broader wavelength range and higher resolution, which you can get with our new NIRS DS2500 instrument, see here . Otherwise, the scanning range of 1100 – 1650 nm offered by the NIRS DA1650 make this instrument ideal for common parameters used in your feed production plant.
The NIRS DA1650 is a Diode array (DDA) based NIR reflectance and transflectance analyser with a - which is ideal for the measurement of standard parameters such as protein, moisture and fat. Beyond 1650nm, DDA technology becomes quite noisy. That is why we chose to limit the wavelength range of the NIRS DA1650 to a maximum of 1650nm, and because we also know that going beyond 1650nm will not have a dramatic impact on your results accuracy and repeatability.
DDA technology is also highly practical and low maintenance, for example, changing the lamp used in the instrument does not require any intensity correction. The NIRS DA1650 also provides internal standards in order to automatically control the stability of the spectrometer with time, which makes this instruments very low maintenance overall.
Calibrations can at any time be transferred to a process control solution such as ProFoss which is also based on DDA.
